Get to know Elana

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
In my high school yearbook, I was voted class friendliest and was also selected to be prom queen my senior year.

What is your favorite food? Why did you pick this as your favorite?
Pasta- I grew up eating it a lot and can still eat it for any meal.

What are two of your favorite hobbies?
Riding my Peloton and trying out different restaurants.

What gets you out of bed every morning?
My dog mostly, but coffee.

Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give your younger self?
Be patient with yourself- everything will happen in due time.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A teacher.

Do you have any pets? What are their names and what are they like?
Milo- mini Goldendoodle a little teddy bear.

What kind of activities do you like to do with your friends or family?
Go out to eat or sit by a bonfire in the summer.

What was your favorite vacation?
My cruise to Bermuda with my best friend and parents.

What made you want to work where you’re at now?
I liked the small, tight-knit atmosphere, and have heard The McIntyre name in the industry since I started. I truly feel I align with the core values of the company.

Before working at your current job, what was the most interesting job you had?
For a summer during college, I worked at Perkins School for the Blind outside of Boston. I worked with children with various disabilities. One of my favorite memories.

What is your favorite thing about your job?
Helping people, talking to different people all the time, and working in a team environment.

What’s unique about the culture at your company?
We’re a small tight-knit group. Even though we are remote for the most part, we still communicate very often and still make the time to get to know one another

What advice would you give to someone looking for a job right now?
Stay motivated. It is not easy by any means, but there is a job out there for you. Connect with a recruiter who is in your industry for continued support and advice.

What do you find most rewarding about your job?
Helping connect people with great opportunities. The long-lasting relationships you make with companies and candidates.

What led you to a career in staffing?
Someone who was in staffing coming to me at my prior job and telling me I would be a great fit for it based on my enthusiasm and personality.

What have you gained from working where you’re at?
Great experience and stepping out of my comfort zone and being surrounded with talented people and continuing to grow my knowledge of the industry while being challenged every day.

What is your proudest moment at your job?
Working as a team of one and still building the business.
